This course is ideal for anyone interested in acquiring fundamental coffee-making skills or for those passionate about coffee. It also caters to those seeking comprehensive and cost-effective coffee training.

What to wear

To take part in our barista training, it’s recommended that you wear neat, comfortable clothing that you can move around in. Select clothes that allow you both to move around while practising with equipment, and also to sit comfortably during the theory training.

It is a safety requirement for all students to wear closed-toed shoes during the training, as an issue of health and safety.

Group Bookings

We can offer group discounts for workplaces and community groups. Contact us about a group booking, and pay less for each student.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel or reschedule your training, although some fees will apply.

  • You may reschedule your course (up to a maximum of three times) for a rescheduling fee of $10.
  • If you cancel your course at least 48 hours in advance, you only need to pay a $22 cancellation fee (deducted from your refund).
  • If you cancel your course less than 48 hours before the course (but still prior to the course beginning), you’ll still be eligible for a refund of 50% of the total course cost.
  • Once your course has begun, you are no longer eligible for a refund. You will be marked as not attending and will need to book again from scratch if you still wish to do the training.

In some circumstances, we may consider a partial or full refund on compassionate grounds. But it’s always better to contact us sooner rather than later if you have any issues with being able to attend.

Same day certificate

Within 24 hours of completing your barista training course, your certificates will be provided to you digitally (by email and available for download). Where possible, this will generally be later that day.

Courses available everyday

Whether you work a 9-5 week or weekend shifts, we’ll have course times available to suit you – with a range of times throughout the week (Saturdays and Sundays included).

Trained by expert baristas

When you’re taking part in our barista training, be sure to take advantage of the many years of experience our instructors have under their belt by asking any questions you have along the way.

Assessment methods

There will be a brief online assessment to be completed at home, but for the most part your assessment will be hands-on in class. Your assessor will watch as you demonstrate your new skills in the classroom, after plenty of practice and with a lot of support.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

To enrol in the course, you will need a valid unique student identifier (USI). This is a number given to you by the government to help keep track of all your training and education. To find out more about the USI, or to apply online, click here.
