In our Salisbury barista course, our team is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and supporting environment for all students.
Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to provide all students with the essential skills needed to achieve success in the coffee industry. From milk pouring to espresso extraction, our program is designed to instil you with the barista fundamentals, then enhance them to an expert level to ensure you’re equipped to excel in this ever-evolving industry.
Our Salisbury barista course covers a wide range of topics, including:
We are proud to be the premier coffee school in Australia for aspiring baristas. Our Barista Pro Course is a comprehensive certification program that covers all the essentials, fundamentals, and advanced techniques to transform you into a fully certified barista.
There’s no formal dress code for one of our barista courses. That said, it’s still a good idea to wear practical, neat-casual clothes. Choose something comfortable that you can still move in, to allow you both to sit comfortably during instruction times and move about when practising with the equipment. We also recommend not wearing white in case you accidentally spill coffee on yourself.
The one formal requirement we do have is that all students must wear closed-toed shoes throughout the training for their own safety.
Please contact us to arrange a group barista training session. This option costs less per person, and is a great way to ensure every member of your team, workplace, family, or friend-group are all skilled at making perfect coffees.
Please read our full course cancellation policy here.
Our barista training course lasts for one day, after which successful graduating students will be awarded their qualification. The certification for this course is provided digitally and within 24 hours of course completion, generally by the end of the day.
Regardless of how busy your schedule is, we’re sure to have something that suits your needs. Our course calendar runs at various times each and every day of the week, including weekends for the convenience of those who work standard hours.
Each and every one of our trainers are highly experienced and come with an extensive and personal knowledge of coffee making. You’ll work closely with them during your course and they’ll have time to address each one of you personally so you get the most from your experience.
While you will be sent a brief, online assessment to complete in your own time at home, your course, and thus your assessment, mostly takes place in-person during your class. Your trainer will watch you demonstrate your newfound coffee making skills to ensure that you’ve successfully completed our training in order to award you with your certification.
All students will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to enrol in our coffee-making course. This number is assigned to students by the government, so if you’re not sure if you already have one and you need to find it, or if you need to apply for one, click here.
If you have any health conditions which may affect your ability to finish your training with us, please advise us before the course begins so we can discuss your concerns over the phone on (08) 8317 5113 or via email at enquiries@skillstrainingcollege.com.au
